Trouble came dressed like certainty,
knocking loud enough to make me think
it owned the house.

Fear pulled up a chair.
Doubt made itself comfortable.
Regret started telling stories
like they were the only truth I’d ever know.

I believed them…
for a little while.

Then morning arrived
without asking permission.

Grace slipped through the cracks
where my strength had failed.
Mercy found me before my pride could hide.
Hope whispered what my heart had forgotten:

“You’ve survived every midnight
because dawn has never missed an appointment.”

Storms are loud,
but they don’t write the final chapter.

Pain can visit,
but it cannot claim ownership.
Tears may water the ground,
but they’re not the harvest.

God has a way
of growing gardens
where everyone else saw ashes.

I’ve learned
that mountains bow to time,
seasons always change,
and every valley
has an exit with God’s fingerprints on it.

So if you’re carrying more than your shoulders can hold,
lay it down.

If your prayers feel heavier than your voice,
keep praying.

If your faith is hanging on
by a single thread,
remember whose hands are holding that thread.

Trouble counts the days.
God counts the promises.

Trouble measures what you’ve lost.
God measures what He’s restoring.

Trouble says,
“This is the end.”

God smiles and says,
“I’m just getting started.”

So let the wind blow.
Let the rain fall.
Let the night stretch as long as it wants.

Morning is already on its way.

Because trouble has an expiration date.

But God’s love…
God’s love has never needed one.
It was here before your first breath,
it will carry you through every battle,
and it will remain
long after every storm has learned your name.

Trouble won’t last.

But God’s love does.
Always.
