When darkness comes whispering in the night,
When fear tries to steal away the fight,
When the enemy comes with lies disguised as truth,
Trying to bury the faith that was planted in you,
Remember, believer, you are not alone,
You do not stand by your strength alone.
For the battle you face is unseen by eyes,
But heaven is moving beyond the skies.
The enemy comes like a thief in the night,
Seeking to weaken your spirit and dim your light.
He attacks your mind, your joy, and your peace,
Hoping your trust in the Father will cease.
He reminds you of failures, mistakes, and shame,
Trying to convince you that you’re still the same.
He points to your past and says, “You will never change,”
But the blood of Jesus has broken those chains.
He attacks when you’re tired, when you’re weak, when you pray,
When your heart feels distant and you’ve lost your way.
But what he forgets in his pride and his schemes,
Is that God’s children are covered by grace beyond means.
So stand firm, soldier, lift up your eyes,
Your Father has heard every desperate cry.
Put on the armor, hold tightly to truth,
The battle belongs to the One who redeemed you.
The Word is your sword, your faith is your shield,
In Christ, every weapon against you will yield.
Though darkness may rise and shadows may fall,
The name of Jesus is greater than all.
The enemy trembles at the sound of His name,
The demons retreat when the King is proclaimed.
For the cross was not defeat—it was victory won,
The grave was conquered by God’s only Son.
So when you feel attacked and the battle gets fierce,
When the enemy’s arrows seem sharp and pierce,
Remember the Savior who carried your pain,
The Lamb who was slain but who rose again.
You are not forgotten. You are not forsaken.
Your prayers are heard, your heart is awakened.
The darkness may fight, but it will not prevail,
Because Christ has already conquered the veil.
So keep standing, believer. Keep walking in light.
Your God is beside you in every fight.
The enemy may roar, but his power is small,
For the Lion of Judah is Lord over all.
