This is my journey to Heaven

I don’t know how many mornings I have left beneath the sky

So I’ll treat each one as mercy and refuse to waste my life

I will strengthen what is fragile; I will discipline my soul

Let the Holy Spirit lead me as I give Him full control

Allow me to be light to those in darkness, and give hope to those in pain

Let them see the love of Jesus in the way I live and pray

Not just power in my body, but compassion in my hands

Because Heaven’s kind of strength is helping someone else to stand

When my final test is finished, and my earthly race is done

I won’t carry any trophies when I meet the risen Son

Only faith that kept me moving and your grace that made me whole

Every breath becomes an offering to the Savior of my soul

I can see the dawn in spirit, and the promise pulls me on

This is not my final home

I’m only traveling toward the real one

I will run the race with patience

Until I finally see your face

When my body reaches empty

Your strength carries me along

On my journey to Heaven

You’re the reason I stay strong

Step by step

Day by day

Jesus, your grace will lead me all the way

I fight the fight

I run the race

And through it all

I keep the faith

This is my journey to Heaven
